Portugal Digital Strategy

The key to simplification

The Portugal Digital Strategy (Estratégia Digital Nacional, EDN) establishes Portugal as a European leader in digital transformation by promoting an inclusive, sustainable, and ethical transition. This strategic framework aims to simplify digital interactions among citizens, businesses, and the Government while guaranteeing protection of fundamental rights and universal access to digital technologies. In alignment with the European Union's "Digital Decade 2030" programme, the EDN places a strong emphasis on inclusivity, sustainability, and responsible innovation. This ensures technology can be an opportunity for all, not just a tool for a few.
