Digital Decade 2026

The European Commission has published its annual State of the Digital Decade 2026 report, in which Portugal is given a positive overall assessment for its progress towards the 2030 objectives and targets.

 

The Digital Decade programme is the European Union’s flagship strategy for enhancing its competitiveness and sovereignty in the digital sphere. The European Union monitors progress in key areas such as critical infrastructure, business digitalisation, citizens’ digital skills, and the modernisation of public services through an annual report. This year, however, the report not only takes stock of the progress made, but also identifies the priority reforms and investments to be pursued at the European level and in each Member State.
