GuIA – Artificial Intelligence Guide

Once again, AMA assumes its role as a public institution responsible for promoting and developing administrative modernisation in Portugal, by proposing, through the Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) project, the exploration of pathways towards an AI that incorporates these concerns. To this end, it provides documents and tools that support and encourage the progressive and gradual adoption of ethical, transparent, and responsible AI.

The GuIA’s content is organised into three simple and accessible documents: one focused on values, principles and recommendations; another on assessment dimensions; and a third dedicated to the risk assessment tool. AMA intends for these contents to be dynamic and to evolve over time, keeping pace with technological and social developments. Ultimately, both the GuIA and the tool aim to structure the process of developing and implementing more ethical, responsible, and transparent intelligent systems, fostering the adoption of good practices and behavioural change.
