Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 175/2025

Council of Ministers Resolution No 175/2025 of 10 November approves the first phase of the National Programme for Girls in STEM, under the Portugal Digital Strategy. The Programme aims to address the persistent under-representation of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, with a direct impact on equal opportunities and the country's competitiveness.

To ensure implementation, a Technical Working Group is established with a six-month mandate, coordinated by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality and with representation from five public bodies. Funding is secured primarily through European funds, namely PT2030.
