What is the Single Information Platform?
The Single Information Platform is a central component of the AI Act Service Desk, which was launched to serve as an up-to-date and accessible information hub on the implementation of the AI Regulation. Following the legislation's entry into force on 1 August 2024, ensuring the effective implementation of the new rules for trustworthy AI across the European Union became a priority for the platform.
Main objectives
- Promoting innovation: supporting the adoption of artificial intelligence in the EU and strengthening the European innovation ecosystem.
- Ensuring safety: making sure that AI systems respect citizens’ health, safety, and fundamental rights.
- Supporting start-ups and SMEs: Providing them with tailored guidance throughout the AI value chain.
Tools available on the platform
- To facilitate compliance: The platform offers interactive tools and direct support.
- AI Act Explorer: An online tool for easily navigating the chapters, annexes and recitals of the Regulation.
- Compliance Checker: Helps to assess whether AI systems and general-purpose AI models comply with the requirements set out in the legislation.
- Specialist support: Available through the Service Desk, where users can submit questions and receive answers from a team of experts in several languages.
