Portugal has developed an integrated framework of plans and strategies to advance the green digital transition. This framework is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda and the targets of the European Union's Digital Decade. These initiatives aim to strengthen digital skills, modernise public services, promote the use of data and emerging technologies, improve energy efficiency and support the development of smarter, more sustainable cities and communities. Together, they contribute to achieving the SDGs while addressing EU priorities such as connectivity, public sector digitalisation, developing digital skills, and digitally transforming businesses. By taking this integrated approach, Portugal aims to ensure that technological innovation and digitalisation act as catalysts for a more competitive, inclusive and sustainable economy.
