Recovery and Resilience Plan

In Detail

The objective of the Support for Business Models for the Digital Transition – Coaching 4.0 programme, which is part of Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), was to award 2,000 vouchers.

This milestone highlights the success of a support scheme designed to modernise Portugal’s business landscape and confirms the strong uptake of this digital transformation instrument by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Coordinated by the Agency for Technological Reform of the State (ARTE), the programme provides SMEs with access to specialised coaching services focused on modernising business models, thereby supporting them in strengthening their management, innovation and digital transformation capabilities.

Built around a simplified access model tailored to the specific needs of each company, this approach has proven effective in addressing the realities of the national market. It covers a broad range of strategic areas, including customer relationship management, ERP, processes and automation, business security, data and business intelligence, supply chain management, advanced technologies, Industry 4.0 and building information modelling.

As part of Component 16 – Enterprises 4.0 of the RRP, Coaching 4.0 is designed to accelerate the adoption of advanced digital practices, thereby driving gains in productivity, competitiveness and resilience among Portuguese companies, in line with national and European priorities for the digital transition of the economy.

Achieving this target is an important step in implementing the RRP, strengthening the capacity of Portugal’s business sector to respond to the challenges of an increasingly competitive and digitalised market.
