GOVPT

In Detail

Launched on 26 December 2024, the new GOV.PT application brings together the features of the ID.GOV and Autenticação.GOV apps in a single channel. This solution allows citizens to access the Digital Mobile Key, store official documents, and use the qualified digital signature all in one place.

This new tool reflects the commitment to simplifying access to digital public services, implementing omnichannel service delivery through the Single Digital Services Portal – gov.pt – as the central hub for public service interaction.

With an intuitive design and advanced features, the GOV.PT app offers six tools that enhance the citizens’ digital experience:

  • Subscription to the Digital Mobile Key through biometrics: a fast, secure and accessible process
  • Access to 16 identity documents in digital format, always at hand
  • Management of digital card authorisations, increasing control and privacy
  • Validation of digital documents, ensuring authenticity and validity
  • Authentication via QR Code, making login faster and more secure
  • Qualified digital signature, guaranteeing the legal validity of documents

If you already use the ID.GOV app, simply update it to start enjoying the benefits of GOV.PT.
