Social Tariff for Internet Access

Providing fixed or mobile broadband internet access services to consumers with low income or special social needs.

 

What is it?

A basic broadband internet service package at an affordable price, enabling access to:

  • Email;
  • Search engines;
  • Training and educational tools;
  • Newspapers and news portals;
  • Online shopping;
  • Job search and recruitment platforms;
  • Public and banking services;
  • Social media, messaging, calls and video calls.

The monthly cost is €6.15 (equivalent to €5 + VAT) and provides access to internet services at 12 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload, with a monthly data allowance of 15 GB.

This amount may include an additional activation and/or equipment fee, up to a maximum of €26.38 (equivalent to €21.45 + VAT), which can be paid in instalments over a period of up to 24 months.

The package has been available since January 2022.

 

How to access it?

Information about the Social Tariff for Internet Access (TSI) is provided by service providers through their websites and in-person customer service points, as well as in the documentation accompanying the bill.
