Portugal is part of the pioneering group of six countries that signed the EuroHPC Declaration in March 2017. Through the National Strategy for Advanced Computing, Portugal aims to position itself as a European reference in the Advanced Computing Services Economy, an Advanced Computing Laboratory Environment, and Education and Training in this specific field of knowledge.
Advanced Computing Portugal 2030 is a science, innovation and growth strategy designed to promote Advanced Computing (AC) in Portugal within the European context. It is oriented towards building a world-class high-performance computing network infrastructure and covers three main areas:
The strategy promotes international collaborative actions and was designed to support all areas of advanced scientific computing, as well as effective and diversified data processing, across industry and academia and in all areas of knowledge and the economy, including health, climate, energy, mobility and social sciences.
